Helix Martial Arts (2012-2018) was my physical location in Littleton, CO, where we had many great successes and positively impacted many lives.  The philosophy was simple: teach well-rounded, complete martial arts in a compassionate and encouraging environment with the best equipment and latest methods.  The Helix training program evolved over time, consisting of a deeper understanding of the origins of traditional martial arts, proficiency in emerging contemporary techniques, and increased technical training knowledge.  The Helix is an upward spiral, symbolizing continued upward progress as we spin through this world.

However, our focus before was on training the best competitive athletes, rather than instilling life-changing character traits in as many students as possible.  In the future, Helix training will always emphasize character development to help people succeed in life.

Team Helix earned the title of State Champion School in the Colorado Karate Association two years in a row (2016, 2017) by winning the most cumulative points throughout the competition year.  We also had many students become champions at various levels, including:

After training hard for international competition for the last four years and being ranked in the top 10 in the world in 2025, Team Helix members were recently accepted to compete for Team AKA, one of the top sport karate teams in the world (and my former karate family)! We wish them well as they continue on their journey toward world champion titles!
